key aspects of the art work: starting from the bottom on the right we can see the Garden of Eden (Pomegranate), the exodus from Egypt, the Red Sea, the migration, the Sinai Peninsula, the sacrifice of a ram (the Golden calf), the exile – North Africa, Arabic countries, Europe (commercial activity & permissible professions like tailor), the Shoah, the journey to America, diaspora
It reminds the observer consciously or unconsciously of striped patterns of the Jewish prayer cloth Tallit.
In the compositions, everyday and life stories mingle with symbols of “giving hands”, “Kosher”, Menora, Sabbath, Talmud, Tora – roles, Jerusalem and the sacred stones of the wall, the Red Sea, tombstones left behind and stories from the Bible, from generation Longing for a generation of abandoned home, lost place of ancestors.
